BUT I DON’T HAVE STEVE GADD CHOPS.

Dan Twiford was the guy Scojo was talking crap to about my lack of basketball skills, haha. Small world.

I wish everyone could see how insane of an activity drum corps is (at least the physical aspect of it). I’ll never understand how we could put ourselves through 9-9s on a daily basis for two months, in the most extreme weather conditions. How dumb are we for putting our bodies on the line like that? Lmao, jk.

I just played basketball for two hours and my body feels like hell, haha. I consider myself in shape right now, but dang, apparently not as much as when I was marching!

I’m trying to work on my game before Devs finish all days, that way I can hopefully ball with some of the guys at Scojo’s during a free day. Maybe this time around I’ll make a jumper in his face (or any shot for that matter), hahah. It was embarrassing how terrible I was in 2011. I remember a Pearl rep was at one of our all days and he was talking to me about the equipment. Scott walks up out of nowhere and makes a completely irrelevant comment about my lack of game. COME ON MAN haha.

I should really do some homework. Spring Break is basically done and I haven’t opened my book once.

I just wanna take time to acknowledge HOW FREAKING DARK I AM IN THIS PICTURE.

2010 was cool.

Called it on family day weekend, tricks! Congratulations to the Blue Devils! So proud to have been a part of such an amazing organization. Also, congratulations to Crown for a solid season. It was nice to see them go neck and neck with Devs. I’m sure it gave BD that extra push to stay on top all summer long. Crown’s time to shine will come soon!!
Also, congratulations to SCV for a solid summer as well. This was the first SCV show in awhile that I personally enjoyed and felt like was going to place well. AAANND, shout out to the Bluecoats drumline!!! Dudes were ridiculous! Mike Jackson and his crew are doing some good things over there. In my opinion, if Devs hadn’t cleaned up as much as they did, Coats would’ve taken drums for sure. Props to them.
One last shout out to BDB! I blame DCI for ruining the 4-peat. LOL, jp! Gold, Silver, Bronze, or no medal, the B corps is without a doubt a solid program. Props to the drumline for the Fred Sanford 4-peat. They’ll be back on top.
I know it’s selfish and immature, but I won’t lie. Deep down I’m pretty bummed out and jealous that I couldn’t be part of that undefeated/high drums season. It’s okay though, not marching was DEFINITELY the right decision for me. Friends and family close to me know why I didn’t march, and I think they would agree that my decision was correct.
This season off has built up my craving for drum corps. It’s time for me to start working my ass off and getting my hands back into tip top shape. I’d like to make  a comeback next summer (age-out). I’ve got 4 months to make this happen, let’s see what I can do!

HAHAHAHA THIS WILL NEVER GET OLD

4th of July at home

This is my first full free July 4th in 3 years. First two years I spent half my day in Concord for that damn parade with the B corps. Last year I was in UTAH of all places lmao, with the A corps.

We had a free day last year on July 4th, and they had taken us to some huge recreational park to just kick it and watch the fireworks show that night. There was nothing there but flatland haha, but it did have a prehistoric museum, restaurants, and a movie theater, which is where I ended up with Adam and Chris. We watched Transformers that night.

Shit got pretty epic LOL. We were told to be back at our buses by 1030. It was like the last 5 minutes of the movie, I looked at my phone and it was 1028 O_O; I was like oh shit we needa be back there. I had no idea how many people from the corps were in the theater too, cause when we walked in the previews had already started. Anyways, I look back up and it was for real like a school of fish, I see the nearly everybody in the theater stand up at once and start dashing for the exit LOL. I get outside and EVERYONE is running back to the bus while hella fireworks are going off in the sky. It was at least a mile run back with hella screaming and bangs in the air.

You hadda to be there to understand, haha.

Cabaret Voltaire drum solo

Watch it. Enjoy it. Hate it. Love it. Bop it. Twist it. Spin it. Pull it.

Opener for Cabaret Voltaire. Notes from the get go! THAT is how you start a show haha. Without a doubt, High Drums worthy book. This will be the year!

#fredsanfordtodevs Hate if you want! Lmao
